Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Job alerts: Your email address, search keywords, and location preference. Used solely to send matching job notifications.
• Payment info: Processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Usage data: Basic analytics (page views, feature usage) to improve the product. No cross-site tracking.
• Saved jobs: Stored in your browser's localStorage. Never sent to our servers unless you have a Pro account with sync enabled.

What we don't do

• Sell your data to third parties
• Show targeted advertising
• Track you across other websites
• Require an account to browse jobs

Job data sources

Job listings are collected from public ATS (applicant tracking system) APIs including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, and others. We index publicly available postings and score them for ghost-job risk using statistical signals. We do not scrape private or gated content.

Data retention

• Job alert emails: kept until you unsubscribe
• Job listings: removed after 12 months of inactivity
• Payment records: retained as required by tax law

Your rights

Email privacy@jobhaunt.app to request deletion of your data, export your saved searches, or ask questions about this policy.

Cookies

We use a single localStorage key to remember your theme preference (light/dark). No third-party cookies. No cookie banner needed because we don't use cookies.
